The Greeting Card Association established the LOUIE Awards in 1988 to recognize creative excellence within the greeting card and social stationery industry. This year’s theme, “The Greatest Cards on Earth!”, evokes nostalgia, yet communicates the new and modern face of the LOUIEs. Inspired by the exciting and classic circuses popular in the 1920’s and 1930’s, this year’s theme concept was designed by Katy Greenspan, Creative Director at Cardstore.com and the 2011 LOUIE Awards Chair.

24th Annual LOUIE Awards Competition is now closed. Judging will take place in late January/early February in conjunction with the New York International Gift Fair. LOUIE finalists will be announced in March 2012. Awards will be presented at the 24th Annual LOUIE Awards celebration on Sunday, May 20, 2012 during the National Stationery Show® in New York City.
