The Greeting Card Association established the LOUIE Awards in 1988 to recognize creative excellence within the greeting card and social stationery industry. This year’s theme, “The Greatest Cards on Earth!”, evokes nostalgia, yet communicates the new and modern face of the LOUIEs. Inspired by the exciting and classic circuses popular in the 1920’s and 1930’s, this year’s theme concept was designed by Katy Greenspan, Creative Director at Cardstore.com and the 2011 LOUIE Awards Chair.

We are thrilled you have decided to enter the 24th Annual LOUIE Awards competition! Before you begin the process, we strongly recommend that you download and read carefully the Official LOUIE Categories PDF here and the FAQs here.

NEW Submission deadline - December 16, 2011! Judging will take place in late January/early February in conjunction with the New York International Gift Fair. LOUIE finalists will be announced in March 2012. Awards will be presented at the 24th Annual LOUIE Awards celebration on Sunday, May 20, 2012 during the National Stationery Show® in New York City.

Entry Certification

I certify, as publisher, that this entry meets the production run minimums, that it was sold and marketed in the U.S. during calendar year 2011, and that it has NOT previously been entered in the LOUIE Awards competition. I have thoroughly read all the rules of the competition and agree to abide by all criteria.

I understand and agree that this entry will become the property of the GCA for the purpose of being judged and promoted in this competition and WILL NOT BE RETURNED. I understand that the GCA reserves the right to make final judgment on rules and regulation in the best interest of the LOUIE Awards competition. Further, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCA and the LOUIE Awards competition from any and all claims, demands, suits, damages and/or costs that might arise as a result of my participation in the competition. I agree to accept the judges’ decision regarding the outcome of this competition.
