GCA Response to President Obama's USPS Budget Proposal
"The GCA continues to support commonsense postal reform that puts the Postal Service back on a path toward fiscal strength, but that cannot be achieved through the plans presented by the President, House, or Senate," said Rafe Morrissey, GCA Vice President of Postal Affairs. "While the GCA supports efforts to enact meaningful and necessary reforms, the bill that was voted through committee today does not provide a commonsense plan that puts the Postal Service in a stronger position to provide universal services."
