Meetings
The GCA meets regularly three times a year. The first meeting of the year is
an open Board of Directors’ planning session, held in the winter and open
to all GCA members. At this meeting, the focus is directed toward upcoming plans
for the year as well as legislative interests and postal concerns impacting the
greeting card industry.
2007 Winter Meeting: Feb. 26-27 in Washington, DC
NOTE: GCA will also host a
reception during the 2007 Atlanta International Gift & Home Market on Friday,
January 12th on The View Level of The Sun Dial at the Westin Peachtree Plaza
Hotel.
Each May, GCA holds its second open Board of Directors’ meeting and
other committee meetings in New York to take advantage of attendance at the National
Stationery Show.
Also in New York at this time, GCA holds its annual International Greeting
Card Awards program featuring a gala celebration and the "LOUIE" awards,
which honor creative excellence in the greeting card industry.
2007 Spring Meeting: May 19-21 in New York, NY
Fall
GCA hosts its annual convention each fall, in either September or October.
The four-day event includes informative sessions on topics of interest to those
involved in all facets of the greeting card and stationery industry, as well as
its Annual Business and Board meeting, committee meetings, and board elections.
