In order to get across Changing the Narrative’s message of age-inclusiveness, the group landed on birthday cards as a tangible example of ageism that is often treated as humorous and acceptable. They felt that with so many greeting cards purchased by women 40+, there were many who did not want to buy and send ageist, sometimes even insulting, cards to their friends. Hear the story of how the group launched a competition encouraging artists to design anti-ageist birthday cards, the diversity of the cards produced, and check out the best sellers in Changing the Narrative’s booth at *Noted.
