Community

In an industry where we help people connect, GCA is dedicated to building a community for our members and our industry as a whole. The GCA is committed to becoming the hub to create those connections. Online, in person, through education and resources, together we can create and maintain the meaningful connections between all parts of this amazing industry.

GCA Community

The GCA Community is our online, members-only platform where we share resources, connect, network, and build a community. In a world where all information is available but real answers are hard to find, the GCA Community makes a worldwide industry seem local with groups, topics, and separate chat options for all members. It is hosted on Mighty Networks, which also has a mobile app feature for quick chats and real-time conversations. Check it out here.

Volunteer Opportunities

GCA is a volunteer-run non-profit Association, which means our members are what keep us going! From the Board of Directors, to our  various committees that help put on our events, we are always looking for members to donate their time and expertise to growing and expanding GCA. Read more about our volunteer opportunities here.

Committee Members

Committee appointments are generally for one year, with the option to continue for additional years or move to different committees. There is also the option for project-based work, for those who prefer a shorter commitment. Interested in volunteering on a committee? Fill out this form. Have questions? Email gca@greetingcard.org. Find out who is currently serving on our committees here.

Member Town Hall Program

The GCA Town Hall Program is a bi-weekly, members-only virtual event and is a unique opportunity to connect people who share a passion for the greeting card industry. These meetings started as a way to engage with members at the beginning of the COVID-19 shutdown. The idea was to provide a platform for members to connect — the only goal was to see how everyone was doing and if there was anything we could help one another with and if there was anything the GCA could do to help. For one hour every other Wednesday we gather to talk about industry news (sales, distribution, social media, sourcing, etc.) as well as some updates on what’s going on on in the GCA. Read more here.
