*Noted: The Greeting Card Expo Committee – This committee helps shape *Noted: The Greeting Card Expo, the largest gathering of greeting card makers in the country. Committee members play a key role in promoting the event, driving the sale of exhibit space, curating educational panels and social events, planning the pitch programs and show awards, and helping secure the ideal locations for future *Noted expos. Committee contributions directly impact the success and growth of this industry-leading event that brings together designers, makers, retailers, and card enthusiasts from all over the world.

Workshop + Retreat Committee – This committee plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of the GCA’s signature Workshop + Retreat conference. The committee is instrumental in curating a world-class event by helping to plan the conference agenda, identify and recruit exceptional speakers, and introduce fresh programming ideas that elevate the overall attendee experience. Committee members directly impact the content, structure, and atmosphere of the Workshop, ensuring it delivers valuable insights and learnings, meaningful connections, and memorable experiences for all participants.
Louie Awards Committee – The Louie Awards are the Oscars of the greeting card industry, and the Louie Awards Committee plays a vital role in making this prestigious event a shining success. Committee members help lead the planning, logistics, and promotional efforts for the call for entries process, the judging process, and the annual awards ceremony, ensuring it remains a celebration of creativity, innovation, and excellence in the industry. The committee collaborates closely with Associate members and GCA staff to coordinate logistics, manage the budget, and ensure every detail of the entry period and award ceremony is executed flawlessly.
Membership Committee – This committee drives membership growth and fosters a vibrant community of greeting card professionals. They are focused on attracting new members, strengthening relationships with existing ones, collaborating with other GCA committees to enhance membership benefits and services, and creating meaningful experiences that benefit the entire GCA network. Public Affairs Committee – The Greeting Card Association’s (GCA) relationship with legislators and the USPS has never been stronger, thanks to the dedicated efforts of this committee. This committee helps to strengthen our connections with government officials and advocating for the essential role of greeting cards in fostering personal connections—especially through the U.S. Postal Service. This committee has the opportunity to influence policy, promote the value of card-sending, and ensure the USPS remains a reliable partner in delivering meaningful messages.
Thinking of You Week Committee – This committee puts on the annual Thinking of You Week, a week that celebrates the joy and meaningful impact of sending and receiving handwritten notes and greeting cards. The committee helps promote the event and supports the creation of compelling promotional materials that inspire people to connect through the timeless tradition of card-sending. Committee members use creativity and energy to bring new initiatives, contribute fresh ideas, and shape the future of Thinking of You Week as it continues to grow into an international celebration. Your efforts will help spread the message of kindness, connection, and the simple joy of a heartfelt card.
Associate Committee – The Associate Committee serves as the voice for all Associate members—whether suppliers or service providers—within the Greeting Card Association (GCA). This committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that the unique needs and perspectives of Associate members are heard, valued, and integrated into the broader work of the association. By working closely with both the GCA leadership and fellow members, the committee helps drive initiatives, programs, and policies that benefit the entire Associate membership community. Committee members advocate for the interests of Associate members, contribute to the development of valuable member resources, and help strengthen the collaborative spirit that fuels innovation and growth within GCA.
