A Smyth Co. is a partnership of brother and sister... Read More team, Amy & John Smyth. We create consumer products based on the sense of humor and design sensibilities of Amy Smyth. (I am a weird person who sometimes says funny things.) We descend, on both sides of the family, from a long line of people with a sense of humor and who always tell you the truth, sometimes brutally, but always lovingly. (Sarcasm and criticism are Smyth family values.) We try our best to incorporate these principles into everything they create. Our passion is for self-employment. (Who wants a boss?) It is what motivated us to start A Smyth Co. and drives us to keep the company moving forward today. (Nothing is worse than a boss.) The goal is to find partners to help us remain employee free. (Working from home means working in sweatpants. If we have employees, we will have to put on business pants.)
