*Noted: The Greeting Card Expo

*Noted: the Greeting Card Expo is a greeting card industry event, created by the community, for the community. Since launched by the Greeting Card Association in 2019, *Noted has been the largest gathering of greeting card makers in North America. The goal is gather all parts of the greeting card community, provide new connections, discover products and resources, and celebrate the diversity of greeting cards and the people behind them.

*Noted History

In 2019, GCA launched *Noted after the shuttering of the National Stationery Show (NSS) removed an important annual market for greeting cards, stationery, writing implements, and desktop accessories. The first event brought over 100 publishers and hundreds of retailers to Brooklyn, NY to show their support for the greeting card community and share their latest products.

In 2020, Noted was planned for San Francisco, CA in May but was cancelled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Members and others may join the conversation about Noted, and the GCA more generally, by participating in the Noted Forum on Mighty Networks.

In 2021, *Noted was hosted virtually with over 75 exhibitors participating and hundreds of retailers signed up to shop. The event was two days and included education for makers and retailers, virtual happy hours, and pitch programs.

In 2022, *Noted was back in person and held the event in San Francisco, CA. We co-located with SF NOW, an exciting new regional market that extended NY NOW to the West Coast. As the first in-person event post-COVID, it was a huge success and brought over 150 exhibitors, and hundreds of buyers, for a community event unlike any others. View photos from the event here.

In 2023, *Noted again co-located with SF NOW in San Francisco, CA and brought over 175 exhibitors and hundreds of buyers under one roof. The event offered brands, makers, and artisans an all-in-one tactile boutique setting to meet buyers, celebrate creativity, and tell stories. In 2024, we hosted *Noted again in San Francisco. The Greeting Card Association also expanded the event to add Gifted: The Creative Gift and Home Expo to meet buyer demand. With the most greeting cards of any other U.S. show, and expanded gift categories, buyers had an opportunity to discover a wide range of stationery, gift, home, and lifestyle products on the West Coast.
