Perfect Pairing Pop Up Party

April 18, 2026 | Providence, RI

We’re thrilled to announce a new Greeting Card Association event—the Perfect Pairing Pop Up Party—a collaboration between the GCA and US Postal Service on April 18, 2026 at Track 15 in Providence, R.I., from 11 AM–4 PM. Join us as we celebrate the unveiling of a new USPS Happy Birthday stamp with a pop-up retail market with vendors selling cards, stationery, stickers, and more. This Perfect Pairing Pop Up Party is a special opportunity to connect stamp collectors, stationery fans, and independent greeting card makers. This event is free and open to the public.

“I think it’s no coincidence that the USPS is releasing a ‘Happy Birthday’ stamp just as America turns 250. However, The Perfect Pairing Pop Up Party promises to be so much more than an incredible stamp release by one of America’s top illustrators. It’s a celebration of our incredible analog medium that encourages us to put our devices down and authentically connect with ourselves and others. And that’s a gift we can all use about now,” said Sarah Schwartz, Editor-in-Chief of Stationery Trends.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, actor and artist, said of her collaboration with the New England–based 2021 Co., one of the vendors at the Pop Up: “Working together with 2021 Co., a female-owned small business creating original greeting cards, is a dream come true. Knowing you can play a small part in people’s joy and in life’s big and small moments is incredibly special.”

The Perfect Pairing Pop Up Party celebrates the enduring connection between handwritten correspondence and stamps, highlighting the creativity of independent makers while honoring the joy of sending birthday wishes through the mail. For anyone who has ever flipped over a card to see who made it, this is a chance to learn more. Expect a fresh, festive atmosphere of discovery for stamp collectors, stationery enthusiasts, greeting card artists, postcard fans, and anyone with a birthday — that is, everyone!

About the stamp: For the first time in five years, the Postal Service will issue a stamp designed especially for birthday invitations, cards, letters, and packages. The stamp features an oversized white birthday cake with bright and colorful candles and capital letters spelling out HAPPY BIRTH DAY!, on three lines. Lisa Congdon designed the stamp using her own artwork. The project was art directed by Greg Breeding. More information here

About the venue: Track 15 is a modern food hall and event space located inside historic Union Station in downtown Providence. It brings together multiple independent food vendors under one roof, creating a casual, community-focused destination for dining, events, and gatherings. More information here.
