GCA Announces New Leadership
At its October annual meeting last month, the GCA Board elected Christy Kaprosy its next president, succeeding Carlos LLanso. Kaprosy, president, American Greetings’ Papyrus-Recycled Greetings Company and American Greetings’ Group Vice President of Marketing, Innovation and Business Development, will serve a two-year term.
“I’m thrilled to lead the GCA as a new generation of greeting card senders defines exciting new ways to use our industry’s diverse spectrum of products. The GCA’s broad membership continues to design products that appeal to and complement the sending customs of today’s engaged shoppers, and I look forward to working with our members to advance the GCA’s initiatives so the industry can continue to thrive,” said Kaprosy.
In addition to naming Kaprosy, the GCA announced the following Executive Committee (EC) appointments: Nicky Burton (Calypso Cards) named an EC member; Jason Evans (Birchcraft Studios) named Treasurer and George White (Up With Paper), named Vice President. In other volunteer moves, Dave Phipps (Avanti) has been named Chair of the Public Relations and Communications Committee.
