GCA’s Card Talk
Issue 41 February, 2018
GCA is hitting the ground running in 2018 with a new-look for the LOUIE Awards, Postal Affairs Updates, and more.
Card Talk is a GCA member newsletter, published six times per year, providing members with information on the latest trends and issues that might impact the industry and their businesses, and also offers meaningful opportunities for information exchange and business development. Content for Card Talk comes from GCA leaders, volunteers, members and staff. Questions regarding the latest issue may be directed to our Communications Manager, Naomi Gitlin.

From the President
Did you know that 19% of U.S. consumers surveyed by the National Retail Federation planned to buy a card for friends this Valentine’s Day? Increasingly, consumers are extending their Valentine’s Day celebrations to not only include their romantic relationships, but also their family and friends. A key driver of this trend is the growing popularity of Galentine’s Day, often celebrated on February 13. I find it interesting how consumers continue to evolve holiday celebrations, and this one in particular presents a new opportunity for our industry.
We Want Your Ideas
We want to invite all GCA members to submit story ideas, articles and/or questions. Here are some ideas: How do I make the most out of a trade show? What are some tips for working with sales reps? Want to author a story yourself? Click on the link below for more information. Content for our next issue is due by March 25th.
