DENVER, CO — October 20, 2026 — The Greeting Card Association (GCA) is proud to announce that “Nutcracker 2”, the winning card in the Celebrating Black Culture category, created by AfroTouch Design, has been named the Consumers’ Choice Award Winner of the 37th Annual Louie Awards.

Each year, after the Louie Award Ceremony, the GCA opens voting for this special honor. While the standard Louie Awards are judged by a panel of industry professionals, the Consumers’ Choice Award belongs entirely to the public. Every category-winning card is automatically entered into the running, allowing consumers to select their favorite design from the year’s best offerings.

“I was genuinely lost for words when I heard the news,” said Georgina Fihosy, Founder of AfroTouch Design. “When I started AfroTouch Design over 10 years ago, I simply wanted to create greeting cards that reflected and celebrated Black culture, because I knew how important it was for people to see themselves represented. To now receive an award voted for by consumers means so much more. It’s incredibly humbling, and a reminder of why I started this journey in the first place.”

Fihosy added: “I’m so grateful to everyone who voted, supported AfroTouch, and believed in what I’m trying to achieve. Black culture deserves to be seen, celebrated and represented, and I’m proud that AfroTouch Design continues to play a part in making that happen. What a fabulous 10th birthday present!”
