Dear GCA Member:

From the East Coast to the West Coast: A BIG Thank You!

It was great to see so many GCA members, friends and colleagues at last month’s LOUIE Awards Gala, in the GCA Village, the Signature Mixture, and talking with “Experts,” all during yet another National Stationery Show.

There are so many people to thank for making these events such a success – so I thought I would send a quick thank you “shout out” to a few of our extra-ordinary volunteer leaders, GCA members and colleagues:

To Nicole Hite-Heleniak and her entire team at Hallmark for their spectacular vision, energy, and hard work in making this year’s LOUIE Awards Gala a true “Universe of Wonders”.

To Universal Presentation Concepts for nurturing the idea of the GCA Village – a new benefit for GCA members who want to exhibit at the NSS but who may not need a large amount of space or have the staff to support one (and for the 10 GCA members who supported the Village!).

To every GCA board member who volunteered time in staffing the GCA Village or LOUIE Awards exhibit, when they otherwise would have been touring the show or meeting with customers/prospects.

To Nicky Burton – for identifying a need and creating the “Meet the Experts” session – where GCA members and non-members had an opportunity for small roundtable discussions about building business, selling on Amazon, and a host of other issues. Thanks also to all of our presenters. Excellent work!

To our generous sponsors – for their financial and in-kind support of the LOUIE Awards Gala.

To every company that shared their talents and creativity as part of the 2017 LOUIE Awards.

To our Board of Directors and Executive Committee – for their time and insights during two days of meetings prior to the start of the NSS.

THANK YOU – we couldn’t have done any of this without you!

And as we head to the west coast from October 11-14 for the GCA Annual Convention, I encourage you to check out the latest Convention news. Take a minute to secure the early bird registration discount online, and contact our host hotel, the Andaz San Diego, while space still remains.  We expect “Good Vibrations and Bold Inspirations” in San Diego this fall.  My thanks to Glen Biely at Madison Park Greetings for his leadership as Chair of this year’s Convention.

Finally, watch your inbox later this summer for the second annual GCA Industry Survey – revamped and reconfigured. I encourage all of you to participate. There will be a special incentive for those who do!

With thanks – far and wide – to each and every GCA company for their time, commitment and membership,

–Carlos
