Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), the new Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is beginning to engage with key mailing industry representatives in Washington, D.C. The Postal Affairs Committee looks forward to engaging Mr. Gowdy on reform of the USPS, a topic important to us all. Meanwhile, a new industry-wide stakeholder support letter to the House Ways and Means Committee garnered 1,336 signatures, including many GCA member companies of every size and scope. This number exceeded the total gathered on the previous initiative to support a postal reform bill last year. The social media effort initiated by GCA was successful in obtaining listings from 39 GCA members, far exceeding our previous total.
