DENVER, CO (October 19, 2023) – “Thank You Card” from the brand Curly Girl Design, designed by Leigh Standley, and published by Calypso Cards, was named the “Consumer’s Choice” of the 34th Annual Louie Awards winners. Unique from the other awards that were judged by 52 industry judges, the Consumer Choice Award was open to the card-buying public to vote for their favorite card of the year from the 51 Louie Award-winning cards.

Almost 1,000 individual votes were cast, with 26% going to Curly Girl Design’s Thank You Card ($5.50 and below) to take home first place, “It is always such a treat to win awards, especially after so many years of work, but to be chosen by the customers, by the people who USE my work to connect to one another is truly an honor!” said Leigh Standley of Curly Girl Designs. When asked why this card was selected to compete in the Louie Awards, Calypso Cards said, “Who doesn’t love cheese?! It sends a wonderful message to those in our lives that we are truly thankful for.”
